Research shows that getting outside and into nature can reduce stress, support attention, provide rich sensory experiences and help children develop a lasting appreciation for the environment. Why not go on an Autumn Scavenger hunt and explore the nature on your doorstep? You can use the sheet below as a prompt, to extend children's learning further you could challenge them to find a particular number of items, create nature art pictures form natural resources or spot the similarities and differences between the treasures they find. Think about colour, texture, shape and size.
